Congressman, Peter King's tribute to the King of Pop

This is what Congressman Peter King said:

"For the last, I don't know how long now, this low-life, Michael Jackson -his name, his face, his picture, is all over the newspapers, television, radio -all we hear about is Michael Jackson. Let's cut out the psycho-babble. This guy was a pervert, was a child molester, he was a pedophile and giving this much coverage day in and day out, what's it say about our country? I just think we're too politically correct. Nobody wants to stand up and say, we don't need Michael Jackson. You know, he died, he had some talent, fine, there's people dying every day. There's men and women dying every day, say in Afghanistan. I think the media has disgraced themselves. I think that too many people in public life have made fools of themselves by talking about Michael Jackson like he's some kind of hero. There's nothing new about this guy. Maybe he's a good singer and some dancing. The bottom line is, would you let your child or grandchild be in the same room as Michael Jackson? What are we glorifying him for? So anyways, let's take some time out to look to the people that truly make this a great country. The men and women of the armed forces, police, firefighters, teachers who work in really rough neighborhoods, people who volunteer with dying cancer patients, people who work in aids clinics -they're the ones that we should be glorifying, not some pervert like Michael Jackson."

New York Republican Congressman Peter King is merely an angry, out of touch, prototypical contemporary Republican congressman, who is trashing Michael Jackson because he will never be as successful and as loved as the King of pop will always be. The unforgivable fact that he trashed and unashamedly defamed Jackson, even while the Jackson family was still coping with Michael's death and had yet to bury him, will haunt him and the Republican party, for as long as these morons suggest that they are anything but welfare queens who are living off the taxpayers. These incompetent buffoons do not even deserve healthcare coverage, let them drop dead -America will rejoice.

King's "I'll tell you what's news and what's not" outburst truly crossed the line, however, when he charged Jackson with crimes for which the entertainer had been found "Not guilty." King said: "…I don't know how long now, this lowlife Michael Jackson, his name, his face, his picture is all over the newspapers, television, radio. All we hear about is Michael Jackson. And let's knock out the psychobabble. This guy was a pervert, a child molester, he was a pedophile, and to be giving this much coverage to him day in and day out, what does it say about us and this country? …There's nothing good about this guy...."

To defame Michael Jackson as "a child molester" and "a pedophile" – while claiming there was "nothing good about this guy" who devoted his considerable talents to carrying a message of peace and harmony throughout the world – was clearly a revelation about the absolute ignorance of Peter King.

King's elitist distaste for the admiration felt by untold millions of Americans for Michael Jackson is based in the same authoritarian lunacy that dictators impose on society, and he can stick his ridiculous views straight up his big fat ass.

The emotional hurt that King imposed upon the Jackson family is remedied by the widespread acknowledgement that Peter King represents the lunatic fringe, he is not a person who is respected for his understanding or his intellect.

Unlike King, who will never amount to anything significant in the eyes of the world, Michael Jackson used his talent to bring joy to his audiences, to enrich charitable causes far beyond any other contributer, and to reach out to black and white alike in a manner that made President Obama note that people like Michael Jackson are responsible for paving the way for the election of the first African-American President. Perhaps that is the real reason that Peter King hates Michael Jackson.

Peter King thinks he can trash Michael Jackson for cheap political gain, but he ought to thing again because any American who votes for trash like Peter King is equally ignorant.

If you vote for a Republican in November, keep it to yourself.
