| Who is really incompetent?
Donald Bur, who meddled with my life because he was allegedly my decision-maker, was always on some kind of a leave of absence whenever I had a question he did not wish to answer. Does this sound like a person who has the ability or is qualified to protect the interests of any individual?
The standard excuse used to deny the opportunity to have my concerns heard is that Donald Bur was on "medical leave" but time betrayed that deception because it exceeded the statutatory limits that govern the length of time that a government employee can obtain benefits through that particular claim.
Given the fact that nobody is protecting my interests, I have no choice but to be my own advocate and I am certainly far more credible than somebody like Donald Bur and the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee. It is simply not possible to be a practicing lawyer when the Law Society of Upper Canada insists otherwise, and it is safe to assume that the regulator is always right, until proven otherwise.
According to the Law Society's website, Donald Bur was not a practicing lawyer and the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee was his "last place of employment" and since it is impossible to suggest that this person ever did anything to protect my interests, his competence or lack therof, speaks for itself.
In retrospect, the longstanding claim that Donald Bur was on "medical leave" was merely an excuse to justify the failure to acknowledge my interests, and since these included medical treatment, the extreme hypocricy of the Office of the Public Guardian and Trusee's Office (which is supposed to accomodate such requirements) is absolutely contemptible.
It is not possible to assign any legitimacy to the excuse that Donald Bur was on "medical leave" because the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee has failed to act like a competent decision maker under the Substitute Decisions Act (SDA) which makes it irresponsible and unethical to ignore the injuries of people who are allegedly too incompetent to manage their own affairs.
I complained to the Law Society of Upper Canada about Donald Bur because he is certainly in no position to protect my interests and it is difficult if not impossible to excuse his antics.
On Wednesday April 28, 2010, Beni Muanampu, from the Law Society of Upper Canada, wrote, "I will pass your inquiry to our Complaints Department for further review" but it is June 20, 2010 and I have still heard nothing from them. In my experience, the Law Society of Upper Canada stonewalls, to protect their people, and that does not appear to be unusual.
It now appears that Donald Bur has resumed his duties with the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee's Office, the reason for that is unclear and it is unfortunate because he was pretending to be a lawyer when the Law Society of Upper Canada claimed that he was not practicing law, that is not appropriate, and my interests are suffering as a direct consequence of this grotesque incompetence.
